Not a single food in the world is super food; a single food can’t provide all the nutrition to a human body. Hence, it is essential to consume every food in order to get nutrition.
According to a study by US Dietary Guidelines done from 2015-2020, it says that we must combine healthy eating habits from all the food types of the world, while paying attention to calorie limits.
In different researches done over the years, it has shown that, healthy eating has reduced the risk of hyper-tension, blood pressure, diabetes, cancer, heart problems and other disorders.
Reduction in the consumption of junk foods like noodles, burger, pizza, pasta, soft-drinks etc have aggravated the risks of obesity, heart problems, arthritis and many more.
Here is a list of super foods which can keep us healthy and don’t compromise with the nutrition:
Green vegetables: full of iron, Vitamin A, C, dietary fibres. Try varieties such as spinach, kale, collard greens, or mustard greens. Throw them into salads or sauté them in a little olive oil. You can also add greens to soups and stews.
Fish and meat: They are rich in protein and fibres. They are also rich in omega-3 fatty acids.
Nuts: they are rich in fats, source of plant proteins. Nuts are also a great accompaniment to cooked veggies or salads.
Cereals and pulses: they are rich in carbohydrates and proteins. They provide us with energy and are generally consumed by everyone in the world.
Fruits: fruits are a great source of vitamins and minerals, natural acids and dietary fibres.
Honey, yoghurt: they are a great source of immunity and good digestion.
