WHAT IS FOOD SCARCITY?

The unavailability of food with respect to the need of the population is termed as food scarcity. In simple word scarcity scarcity refers to resources that are limited in quantity.

Country to country the production and distribution of food varies which means in less developed   countries stay in bad meals structures. Nutrient-rich foods needed for our body like eggs, milk, end result and vegetables may be very high priced in these nations through with they can’t afford those.

CAUSES OF FOOD SCARCITY

  • The demand for food is growing, due mainly to two factors: populace and profits boom
  • Financial increase of countries, growing oil expenses, poverty, epidemics, wars, conflicts, weather alternate are all the factors that stimulate the so-known as crisis.
  • Another cause of food scarcity includes mismanagement of resources. Resources due to a poor definition of responsibilities.
  • When demand remains stable and the supply is affected.
  • Unequal access to resources because of political issues or location.

SOLVE THE FOOD CRISIS

  • Multiple cropping and crop rotation
  • water and soil conservation
  • Leasing farmland to other countries
  • Use of HYV, irrigation technology, chemical fertilizers and pesticides, equipment to increase crop yields
